Such a wonderful dining experience. The decor takes you away to another land, the food is traditional Moroccan deliciousness, the service kind and attentive. The gentleman who seated us this last visit is presumably the owner. He has been managing the restaurant at least as far back as 1990 when I first discovered this gem. I became a regular, dining here at least once a month over the years. On this most recent visit as a tourist (October 2023), he remembered me and gave a warm welcome and chatted a while… like seeing an old friend. My girlfriend was unfamiliar with Moroccan cuisine so I introduced her to a family dish that has become one of France’s favorite meals: a traditional Couscous. The lamb brochettes, merguez sausages, kefta meatballs… most amazing flavors. If you choose to get a Tajine instead of Couscous, the merguez sausages make a formidable first course, particularly when served on a bed of mint leaves. Everything I’ve had here has been beautifully prepared, delectable. Of course, you’ll want a wine to accompany your meal; I suggest one of their wines from the Maghreb, such as a Guerrouane or Boulaouane. Over the years I’ve been to many Couscous restaurants in Paris and Lyon, ranging the elegant to the “boui-boui" cafés in Belleville. From Chez Omar, Bébert, Charly, etc., pretty much all have been fabulous, rarely a disappointment, but for me Marrakech shines above for ambiance and quality of food. Sorry, forgot to take pictures of the presentation of the semoule, bouillon and meats, etc., before serving. We were hungry and happy, me feeling like I was coming home.

I had meant to write this much earlier. My family and I visited Marrakech in June of 2023. We were in the neighborhood of the Arc De Triomphe, and wandered off the beaten path a little in search of something to eat. We almost walked past the restaurant, but we are so glad we didn't. We were eating early, so we were the only diners. I had the Chicken Tagine, which was excellent. Unfortunately, I can't remember what my daughters had, but they loved their food. We were able talk to the waiter, who spoke excellent English compared to my, at best, indifferent French. That added much to our experience, so if you go at a busier time, you will probably not get the same kind of attention. That was possible because we were the only customers. The service was excellent aside from the conversation, though. Good recommendations about the food, and very attentive. Online photos of the interior already exist, but that contributes to the atmosphere. So, food service, atmosphere were all outstanding, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for Moroccan cuisine around the Arc De Triomphe

Very nice and cool atmosphere, great friendly service. Prices are fine, plates beautiful to look at but a bit flavourless, and tasted as a bit re-heated.

INCREDIBLE!!!!! Cannot recommend enough. Service was outstanding, the Moroccan wine was amazing, and the food was to die for- we nearly cleaned the plate! The lamb tajine is a MUST. The interior is also absolutely beautiful with so many antique decorations- the attention to detail is ridiculous! I am so so surprised this place was not packed full of people with reservations!! Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Traditional moroccan couscous with every one likes, good (and lots of) food in such a typical setting. Feels like traveling once opening the door. It's good to talk there.
